Northwind Annual Meeting Grand Ballroom Live

Northwind Annual Meeting · Grand Ballroom

Reading in Spanish

An interactive copy of the attendee view, with captions from a test session, not a live session. Tap a language.

Watch how it works

One room, three steps, twenty seconds.

A drawn walk-through of a session, from the laptop on the table to the phone in someone's hand.

Put Frasiey on the room's laptop.

Print the sign. Attendees scan it.

Everyone reads along, in their own language.

Put Frasiey on the room's laptop.

Start free with 3 hours

An illustration of a session, not a recording of one.

Why choose Frasiey?

Private by design.

The room does the listening. Everything else follows from that, including what it costs and how little your attendees have to do.

Your audio never leaves the room

The microphone is opened by the laptop in the room, and the speech is turned into text on that machine. Only the text is sent to us. The sound is never uploaded and never recorded. We keep the text of each session so you can download a transcript, and each meeting's caption settings can delete that text after a number of days you choose.

No app, no account for attendees

People point a phone camera at the printed sign and start reading. Nothing to download, nothing to sign in to, no email address collected at the door.

Read in 100 languages

Every caption can be read in any of 100 languages, translated as the speaker talks. You choose which ones a meeting offers, up to 24 at a time, and each attendee picks their own.

Pay for hours, not seats

One price for one hour of one room captioning. Readers, languages and translation are all included, so a packed room costs exactly what an empty one does.

How it works

Three things, and none of them are technical.

If you can install an app and print a page, you can run captions in your rooms today.

Install Frasiey on the room laptop

It sits in the menu bar or the tray, joins your account with a six-character code, and shows nothing on the projector.

Print the sign, attendees scan

Every room gets a printable sign with its own QR code. People point a phone at it. There is nothing to install and nothing to sign in to.

Read along in their language

Captions appear as the speaker talks. Each reader picks their own language, and the transcript is waiting for you when the session ends.

What you get

Everything a room needs, in one install.

Live captions

Words appear while the speaker is still talking, on phones and on the big screen at the same time.

Read in 100 languages · up to 24 per meeting

Pick the languages a meeting offers, as many as 24 at once. Every attendee then picks their own, and everyone reads the same room.

A room display screen

A full-screen page for the monitor by the door or the corner of the projector. Large type, high contrast, no controls.

Transcripts after every session

Each session is saved with its translations. Download the text when the room empties and send it to whoever missed it.

A dashboard for the whole meeting

Which rooms are captioning, how many people are reading, in which languages, and how many hours you have used.

Works with any microphone or mixer

The ceiling array, the lectern feed, the table mic, a USB interface: if the laptop can hear it, Frasiey can caption it.

Built for meeting planners

You can set this up yourself, and we're here if you'd like a hand.

No IT support required

Nothing to configure on the network, no server to stand up, no ticket to raise. One installer, one code, and the room is on your dashboard.

Your rooms, your laptops

Frasiey runs on the machines you already have in the rooms. The microphone stays yours, the audio stays on that machine, and only the finished text travels.

Pay for the hours you use

Meetings are lumpy. Billing is by the captioned hour, so a quiet month costs less than a busy one and readers never cost anything at all.

Questions

FAQ from planners like you.

Does the audio go to the cloud?

No. The microphone is opened by Frasiey on the room's own laptop, and the speech is turned into text right there. What leaves the machine is the finished text, the same words you see on the screen. There is no recording and no upload.

Does it need internet?

Yes, an ordinary internet connection, because the text has to reach the phones in the room. If the venue's Wi-Fi drops, Frasiey keeps transcribing and replays every missed sentence when the connection comes back, so the transcript ends up complete.

What do attendees need?

A browser. They scan the room's QR code, land on a page and read. No app, no account, no sign-in. If your meeting needs it, you can put an access code in front of the reader.

Which languages can people read in?

In any of 100 languages, including Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic and Hindi. You pick which ones a meeting offers, up to 24 at a time, and each attendee then picks their own. What the room can be captioned in is a property of the laptop: a recent Mac can caption speech in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean or Chinese; older Macs and Windows laptops caption English. Reading languages are unaffected either way, because the translation is made from the caption text. A room captions one spoken language at a time, so a bilingual session is best run as two rooms.

What laptop do I need?

The one already driving the room's screen. Mac: macOS 12 or later. Windows: 64-bit Windows 10 or later. Leave it about 700 MB of free disk for the first run, and give it a microphone it can actually hear.

Is the audio recorded?

Never. The sound lives in the room laptop's memory only for as long as it takes to turn it into words, and there is no way for us to listen to a room. What we keep is the text of each session (the captions, their translations and the transcript you download afterwards), and each meeting's caption settings can delete that text after a number of days you choose.

How good is the transcription?

Good enough to follow a talk, not good enough to be a legal record. It is best with a decent microphone and a speaker who stays near it. You can give each meeting a glossary of names, products and acronyms, which measurably helps.

How am I billed?

By the hour a room spends captioning: one unit, metered through Stripe and invoiced at the end of each monthly period. Translation and readers are free, in every language and for however many people. Plans include a block of captioned hours; past the block you pay the overage rate.
