1. Who these terms are between

"Frasiey", "we" and "us" mean Frasiey LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company. "You" means the account holder and everyone you let use your account.

You agree to these terms when you create an account, whether with a code sent to your email or with Google, Microsoft or Apple, and each time you use Frasiey after that. If you create an account for an organization, you agree for that organization and confirm you may. You must be at least 18 to hold an account. Attendees who only read captions on their own phones do not need an account.

2. The service

Frasiey provides an app you install on your own computers, a hosted API and dashboard, public reader and display pages for your attendees, and machine translation of the captions those readers see. Speech recognition runs on your computer; everything else runs on ours.

3. Accounts and roles

You need an account to pair a device or run a room. The person who creates an account owns it and may invite others as admins, operators or viewers. You are responsible for who you invite and for what they do. Keep access to the email address you sign in with secure. Anyone who can read that mailbox can sign in as you.

4. Your content

The captions, translations, transcripts, glossaries and meeting details your account produces are yours. We store and process them to provide the service, and for no other purpose: we do not use your caption content to train anything, and we do not sell or share it. You can export transcripts and delete meetings at any time.

Where that content carries personal data, we handle it for you and on your instruction, under our data processing agreement, which forms part of these terms and applies without either of us signing anything.

You are responsible for having the right to transcribe what is said in your rooms, including any notice or consent your venue, your jurisdiction or your participants require.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not use Frasiey to transcribe people who have not been told it is happening.
• Do not resell Frasiey, or offer it under your own brand, outside the partners program. Resellers and white-label partners are welcome there.
• Do not attempt to reach another account's meetings, rooms, devices or transcripts.
• Do not use the service for anything unlawful, or to harass anyone.

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules.

6. Accuracy: please read this one

Frasiey is automated speech recognition followed by machine translation. It makes mistakes. It mishears names, it punctuates oddly, it loses the thread when two people talk at once, and translation compounds every error before it. Captions are provided as a reading aid.

Do not rely on Frasiey where an error would matter: it is not a certified or verbatim transcription service, not a substitute for a human captioner or interpreter where one is legally required, and not a record for legal, medical, regulatory or safety purposes. Nothing in these terms is a claim that Frasiey on its own meets an accessibility obligation.

7. Plans, metering and payment

Plans and rates are those published on frasiey.com/pricing. You are billed for captioned hours, and, when a meeting turns Summaries on, for the hours it summarized; translation, readers, seats, meetings and devices are free, in every language. Usage is metered continuously and reported for billing each hour. There are no monthly plans. Pay as you go is billed monthly for the hours used, and you can remove your card at any time. Hour packs are paid for in advance, their hours last 12 months, and they are used before any hour is billed at the pay as you go rate. Payment is handled by Stripe under Stripe's own terms.

A new account is free for one room at a time, with every language, for 10 captioned hours a calendar month (UTC), and a free account is not billed. Once per organization, a free account may also caption one meeting of up to 3 rooms and 30 captioned hours with the paid features, as described on the pricing page, and is not billed for it. Summaries, your own branding and more than one room at a time are paid: they need an hour pack or a card on file, and once an account is paid, every captioned hour is billed, including a meeting with one room. If a paid account has no card and no pack hours left, captioning stops until an hour pack is bought or a card is added; your data stays where it is.

8. Changes to the service and to these terms

We will keep improving the product, which sometimes means changing it. If we change prices or these terms materially we will tell account owners by email before it takes effect, and the date at the top of this page will change. Using Frasiey after a change takes effect is agreeing to it; if you do not agree, you can close your account as section 10 describes. We keep a record of which version of these terms each account was created under.

9. Availability

We aim for the service to be there when your meeting is. We do not currently offer a service level agreement, and captioning depends on things outside our control: your venue's network, your microphone, your laptop.

10. Ending it

You can remove your card at any time from Billing in your account. Hours already captioned are still billed, and hour pack hours you have bought stay on the account until they expire.

You can delete your account from your account settings. It closes at once and everything in it, meetings, rooms, devices and transcripts, is deleted within 30 days. Owners can reopen it during those 30 days.

11. Warranties, liability and indemnity

The service is provided as is, without implied warranties, to the extent the law allows. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss. You are responsible for claims that arise from content you transcribe without the right to do so.

12. The list of cities

A meeting is set to the city it is held in, and the cities you choose from are the world cities list published by GeoNames at geonames.org. We use that list under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license, which asks that GeoNames be credited wherever the list is used, and this paragraph is that credit. GeoNames does not endorse Frasiey. No list of cities is ever complete: if the city you need is missing, write to us and tell us. We rebuild the list from GeoNames, and we widen what we take from it as we hear where the gaps are.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its rules on conflicts of law. Any dispute about them or about Frasiey will be heard in the state or federal courts in North Carolina, and both of us agree to those courts. Nothing here takes away a right the law where you live gives you and does not let you give up.
